Greenhouse & Nursery
We use Biological Pest Management and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniches in our seasonal pest management strategies.
Biological Control is defined as the reduction of pest populations by natural enemies and typically involves an active human role. Natural enemies of insect pests, also known as biological control agents, include predators, parasitoids, and pathogens.
Delphi Valley Greenhouse employs insect predators to target the many pest associated with greenhouse and nursery pests. We believe nature is the best solution in tackling the everpresent hungry insects and bugs that attack lush and beautiful seasonal plantings.
We regularly realease:
Aphidius Species Aphid Parasitic Mini-Wasps
These important aphid parasitoids and very useful and effective for the prevention and infestation management of various aphid species.
Aphidoletes aphidimyza, the aphid midge
aphid predatory midge that’s effective for the infestation management and control of several aphid species.
Encarsia formosa, specifically the greenhouse whitefly parasitoid
